U.S. Search Engine Report: Q2 2009

In today's economy, it is more important than ever for marketers to understand search marketplace dynamics in order to make smarter, more informed decisions about their online advertising spend. As a leader in performance marketing, Efficient Frontier has developed a U.S. Search Engine Performance Report that analyzes general and vertical category SEM trends as well as provides an outlook for the future.

The Q2 2009 Report includes general trends that we are seeing by advertiser size as well as by vertical market, some early data on the performance of Microsoft's Bing and provides some key areas of opportunity for the remainder of 2009 and 2010.

The report utilizes data collected from the Efficient Frontier Customer Index, which represents a subset of Efficient Frontier clients and comprises nearly 81 billion impressions and 722 million clicks on search and content ads on Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft Live Search and now Bing.  The report includes data from advertisers in the financial services, travel and entertainment, retail, automotive and business-to-business verticals.
