Sales Director
The Sales Director should be familiar with selling in the paid search or online advertising space. Has experience leading by example, closing six and seven-figure deals and is used to succeeding professionally. He/she should be familiar with many of the VP's of Marketing, Directors of Online Marketing at many of the major B2C, retail, personals, technology, travel and financial service companies. In order to sell as quickly as possible to paid search marketing top advertisers, we need to find a self-starter-salesperson who can go out and close deals.
Core Responsibilities
- This is not a "relationship" sales position, where you are going back to the customer multiple times during the year to sell add-on products. This is a role where the right person will sell a deal, transition it to our industry best client services team and then move on to the next deal.
- This role will require the sales person to have existing executive level relationships within the marketing field as well as the ability to establish meetings with a broad array of marketing executives.
- Travel 2 - 4 times/month.
- Sell into multiple levels of an organization.
- Close six and seven-figure deals.
- Work autonomously to close deals.
- The right candidate will be a great sales person, but also be comfortable working in a smaller company and creating process on the fly.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years of selling experience.
- Experience in selling paid search and/or search marketing services or analytics packages.
- Background in selling online advertising, advertising technologies, and/or online marketing consulting will also be considered.
- Must have a strong understanding of a 2- 6 month sales cycle.
- Both inside and outside sales experience.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Decision maker level contacts in the search marketing and/or online marketing space.
- People who have that experience might come from Avenue A, Atlas DMT, Doubleclick, Google, Overture/Yahoo, Carat, Amazon.com, etc.
- University educated preferred
Sales Strategist
A Sales Strategist is a media professional who will be responsible for building strategic sales plans and generating successful business proposals that are sellable and deliverable. The Sales Strategist will also help develop the strategic foundation for Efficient Frontier's work with clients and potential clients, across verticals.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the development and authoring of new business proposals to existing and new clients including formal responses to requests for proposals (RFP's).
- Build strategic proposals, or "pitches," by pulling research data, collaborating with sales, account development, marketing and technology groups across the organization.
- Coordinate activities related to new business pitches, and successfully pull in resources from across the organization. Help manage the full proposal/RFP process from proposal/strategy development to presentation.
- Create presentations explaining the custom elements of the proposed plan to go along with proposals and RFPs.
- Work closely with the sales and the campaign management teams to ensure media plans work for deliverability and a best fit for the prospect/client.
- Contribute to the presentation of solutions to prospects. Develop effective relationships with potential clients, clients and other groups across the company.
- Troubleshooting prospect needs (product, technical or otherwise) and providing a reasonable, realistic solution.
- Contribute to strategy-oriented intellectual capital for clients. Work with internal teams to come up with "big ideas" for larger clients.
- Be fully trained on Efficient Frontier's products and services to be an expert resource and knowledge center for the sales team.
- Assisting in various projects as needed. Contribute to innovation around formal frameworks and methodologies for approaching new business proposals, the RFP process, and client strategic development.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing and/or business
- 1-2 years of on-line advertising experience in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for interactive media/marketing with strong working knowledge of the Internet, Search Marketing, and the RFP Process.
- Superior presentation, communication, and customer service and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Ability to think creatively and take initiative
- Ability and desire to travel domestically
- Must possess excellent time management skills, a sharp eye for detail and proven problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
