Controller
The Controller position has the worldwide responsibility for all aspects of the accounting and revenue functions, taxation, AR, AP, payroll & option administration and treasury & risk. The ideal candidate will have strong management and leadership skills as well as technical accounting knowledge and operational experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop, lead and manage the accounting organization
- Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures that are Sarbanes-Oxley compliant and ensure compliance thereof
- Oversee revenue accounting function
- Oversee and coordinate the preparation of tax returns (income, sales, use, etc.) with the external audit firm and ensure tax compliance
- Coordinate with domestic and international accounting firms and audit firms
- Provide accounting guidance for domestic and international business expansion, new product/service offerings, transfer pricing agreements with subsidiaries, etc.
- Coordinate external audit and reviews
- Manage the accounting system implementation
- Manage other strategic and tactical projects
- Work as a networked partner with other members of the management team
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred)
- CPA required
- 10+ years of corporate accounting experience and 5+ years of supervisory experience
- Proven leadership skills; experience training/development of personnel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley requirements
- Strong knowledge of international subsidiaries' legal structures, accounting issues, transfer pricing agreements, etc.
- Strong knowledge of financial and operational systems and processes
- Financial systems implementation experience
- Excellent system skills including Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
